Activated Carbon Filters
Cartridge or cassette filters that use a porous surface to retain suitable gaseous and odorous compounds.

How does it work?
As air passes through the activated carbon bed, suitable molecules are adsorbed onto its internal surface. Carbon type, quantity, contact time and humidity conditions are selected for the target pollutant.
- Pre-treatment
- Adsorption on carbon surfaces
- Air discharge
Applications
- Supplementary odour control in kitchen exhaust
- Food, chemical and suitable process exhausts
Key approach
- Cartridge or cassette arrangements
- Integration with other filtration stages
The right choice starts with the right data.
The following information is assessed together when selecting a system. Airflow, power, dimensions and performance values are determined for each project.
- Gas composition and concentration
- Contact time, temperature and humidity
- Carbon quantity and replacement plan
Application note
Saturated carbon requires replacement or suitable specialist regeneration. Activated carbon in air filters should not be assumed to regenerate through washing with water.
Frequently asked questions
How is the right system selected?
Air or process characteristics, capacity requirements and installation conditions are assessed together. The technical scope is confirmed for your application during quotation.
